Strong Chain with latching Link

Many 3D-printable chains are designed in one piece, with all links already interconnected. However, this approach results in less robust constructions due to unfavorable slicing patterns. Furthermore, long overhanging parts detract from the overall appearance of such designs. The chain design I'm using is more straightforward for printing, producing strong and visually appealing links. Nevertheless, it requires manual assembly. With 48 links, a chain measuring one meter in length can be created. To achieve this, only every other link needs to serve as a latching link, while the remaining links are closed. I successfully printed this design on my UM2 using PETG, although PLA or ABS could also be used.
