Strong 2020 corner brackets
thingiverse
These brackets offer robust connections, particularly effective with only 20 percent infill in aluminium extrusions from 2020 for 2020. Their structure withstands stress due to its inherent rigidity and offers two configurations, including one without the notch and another with it for when a modified design is required. I employ M5 x 10mm cap screws coupled with T-nuts to secure this bracket securely. The print setup proves functional, though there was an initial error concerning misaligned bolt countersink settings on versions featuring corner notches; it's been addressed now in the corrected "cnr_bracket_strong_braced_notch_fixed.stl". To fabricate this piece, use a RepRap Prusa i3 with specific settings: no rafts but yes to supports, resolution of 0.2mm, and infill percentage of 20. For successful prints, ABS material or something stronger is advisable, with the bed being the primary support. Printing occurred with the printer's Slicer cura. This design was conceived in openscad with enhancements over its precursor due to the initial version proving somewhat malleable even at 100% infill, so the design incorporates more diagonal triangulation and strengthened supports without excessive additional plastic.
