Stromberg 150 velocity stack

I was inspired by the HS4 version available on thingiverse here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4274619 So I designed my own for the Stromberg 150 for my GT6. These should also work for TR6. This is cheap & easy horsepower. You can see some dyno results for the HS4 MG case here: http://mgaguru.com/mgtech/power/pp104b.htm Furthermore, many user's have reported quieter carburetor noise. This, to me, is indicative of reduced turbulence at the carburetor inlet and therefore must be accompanied by improved flow. In any case, I am certain that it will not detract from power and if I only get a few hp it is still worth the minimal effort. I don't plan on using the stock GT6 air cleaners. Instead I will use these: https://www.jbugs.com/product/9185.html These are less expensive that stock GT6 air cleaners. This air filter is the correct height for the stock GT6 air filter housing and has a 4 inch inside diameter. The outside diameter of this part is 100 mm and should fit just inside the filter mentioned. You will want to print this in a plastic that can handle under hood temperatures. The author of the HS4 version used Nylon and this is an excellent choice. I happen to have on hand Priline PC-CF and this is what I used. I printed with 3 bottom layers and 4 top layers with 25% infill. I print this material at 275C. I don't typically use retraction so for post processing I sanded the part with some 150 grit. I might paint it with some epoxy paint. It took about 2.5 hours to print. This part was designed with OpenScad. I am providing the Openscad file for those who might wish to improve upon the design or who might wish to adapt it to other cases. This takes advantage of the OpenScad bevel library. I, for one, plan to make an HS2 version for Spridget next! Stay tuned...
