Strix Goblin Aluminimum Motor Mount Spacer
thingiverse
Some pilots have discovered that the replacement CNC machined aluminum motor mount for the Strix Goblin is slightly loose when installed. This causes a small gap between the motor mount and the aircraft's fuselage, allowing the motor to pivot. This compact spacer fills the gap between the mount and the fuselage, securing the motor in place once again. The design allows for space beneath the cable and includes a locking key at the top on the motor-facing side, as the initial gap was found to be uneven. The left side of the gap measured approximately 1.2 millimeters, while the right side measured around 1.5 millimeters. This spacer accounts for this variance in gap size. The part was printed using fine mode with a layer height of 1 millimeter and 100% infill. Printing time was relatively short, taking about five minutes to complete.
