thingiverse
I couldn't find a stringing test STL that I liked, so I created one. This one has a base of 5mm tall and has numbers added so that you can customize your slicing program to change retraction distance every 10 mm. Total height is 55mm.
I use Cura to customize retraction settings to change at specific heights. You can find the settings by clicking Extensions>Post Processing>Modify G-Code. From there, you will add the script ChangeAtZ for each step.
Make sure your initial slice settings have retraction set to 0mm and desired retraction speed. I start retraction speed at 50 mm/s and adjust if I need to.
Add Script and change the following for each Z height:
Height: 15mm
Apply To: Target Layer + Subsequent Layers
Enable Change Retraction
Retract Length: 2mm
Height: 25mm
Apply To: Target Layer + Subsequent Layers
Enable Change Retraction
Retract Length: 4mm
Height: 35mm
Apply To: Target Layer + Subsequent Layers
Enable Change Retraction
Retract Length: 6mm
Height: 45mm
Apply To: Target Layer + Subsequent Layers
Enable Change Retraction
Retract Length: 8mm
