Stringing Calibration Rods
thingiverse
I designed this calibration tool to fine-tune any printer for stringing issues, providing a swift method to test printers and eliminate unwanted strings. The various distances and orientation settings allow you to quickly pinpoint the root cause of stringing so you can correct it effectively. I created it because my own printer had severe stringing problems when I first got it - not only did it produce strings, but also displayed directional stringing between close points. This calibration tool enables you to test down to 1mm distances with ease. Once you've determined your retraction distance and speed settings, printing should result in solid rods with zero stringing.
