String Cannon is an indispensable tool for effortlessly feeding cables through long, winding conduit installations. Efficiently inserting a draw line into conduit has never been easier thanks to String Cannon's compressed air technology. No complex fittings or fixings are required; simply use a dust-off gun (usually included with most affordable compressor kits) and blast string through the conduit. String Cannon empowers you to effortlessly propel string through conduit using compressed air, eliminating tedious manual labor. Air leaks are minimized when using String Cannon, allowing for smooth and uninterrupted operation. Outperforming traditional draw wire methods, String Cannon is significantly faster and more efficient. Capable of handling longer distances than traditional draw wires, String Cannon saves time and effort in the long run. String Cannon's innovative design saves valuable time and energy by streamlining the process. Print one String Cannon as a minimum, depending on conduit size. You can choose from provided STL files for the "pig" or edit the OpenSCAD file to create a custom design that suits your needs. Pass string/paracord through the central hole of your String Cannon, secure it with a large knot (such as a monkey fist) or attach an adjustable pig that fits perfectly inside the conduit. Alternatively, tie a rag onto the string/paracord and push it into the conduit for optimal performance. Gently stuff the pig into the conduit, ensuring the cord is not trapped, then firmly seat the String Cannon in the open end of the conduit. Apply gentle pressure to secure the nozzle. Press the nozzle of a dust-off gun firmly into the conical opening of String Cannon and squeeze the trigger. Guide the string as it blasts through the conduit, taking care to lay out sufficient slack to reduce friction and speed up the process if necessary. When the pig reaches an opening in the conduit, the string will stop being drawn effectively. You may need to open intermediate conduit fittings, pull cables through, and repeat the process for the next section. --- This design was created using OpenSCAD and completed on short notice; I plan to revisit this design and make it more parametrically useful in the future.
