We've got our hands on the NECA toy Striker Eureka robot ("Jaeger") from the movie Pacific Rim. Unfortunately, while playing around with it, the shoulder joint ended up breaking. I gave gluing it a shot, but this particular joint is pretty high-stress, so it made sense to try and recreate the part. The fix involves two main components: a loop that gets plugged into the body and a pin that locks the arm onto that loop. First off, we need to remove the broken pieces - you might have to drill out the existing shoulder loop if it's still intact. Once that's done, just snap the new parts in place. Next up, take your shoulder loop and slide it into the arm, then pop the arm pin through to lock it down. After that, press the pin on the shoulder loop against the body - there's a flange on the tip that'll help it lock snugly into place. The OpenSCAD file has some pretty precise tolerances - at least, that's how they turned out for my copy of the toy. Feel free to mess with them if you need to tweak the friction just right; the body_pin_dia is key to getting a solid fit with the body. Also worth noting: since these parts are on the small side, I tossed in some print helpers - basically little disks that'll get attached to the part with a thin strip of plastic. Just go ahead and break those off once your prints are done.
