Stricly minimum
grabcad
Once again, a simplified version of the previous three models is presented. This model requires minimal post-processing as all horizontal surfaces are multiples of 0.254 (raster thickness with T16 tip on Fortus 250), providing good print speed and durability. The walls are thicker than the minimum required for printing ABSPlus 430 (0.914mm), making it slightly less aesthetically pleasing but lighter without adjusting print parameters. Estimated weight is approximately +/- 13g. Key design guidelines include creating a simple design with only necessary functions, anticipating continuity of tangencies by adding fillets, incorporating fillets only when increasing material quantity (concave fillets), and increasing resolution for more precise material distribution in case of mass reduction failure. While there may be additional discoveries to make, this challenge's deadline makes it impossible to explore further.
