Stretchlet - Drops

Stretchlet - Drops

thingiverse

This stretchlet features large radii, ensuring durability through reduced stress. Designed for a two-year-old's wrist, it boasts impressive flexibility due to nylon material and printing on an Ultimaker 2 with Taulman 645 nylon. Successful printing techniques include using 3M blue painter's tape with a cold bed and head temperature of 245C for single layer (continuous Z) at 0.1mm thickness. The nylon's flexibility is particularly noticeable in this design, allowing stretching capabilities. While untested in PLA, it likely works fine but remains stiffer than nylon. A 10-degree twist version exists, printed at 0.2mm layer height; however, removal from the base proved challenging compared to its non-twisted counterpart.
