Stretched Base Extension
thingiverse
I was hesitant to commit to building the full PCB Workstation base, opting instead for something simple that could hold small to medium-sized boards for soldering. I didn't want to invest too much time or PLA printing in the base itself. I discovered the base extension as part of the original kit and modified it to accommodate larger PCB boards. The original size wouldn't have allowed enough room with two vices, so this modification was necessary. The ball sockets were sourced from Thingiverse's http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1668946. I found that printing them with male side facing up and a brim produced the best results. Printer Settings: Printer: ANET A8 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.02mm Infill: 30% Notes: Printing this took approximately three hours, using the default settings for the ANET printer.
