STREET SIGN CLAMP
thingiverse
Need something sturdy to hold your fancy custom street sign in place? Look no further. Printed on its side without any supporting elements, this clamp should get the job done. You can attach it from the top of the sign, the bottom or (of course) the side. Instructions There are essentially two versions of the sign - the ten inch and the flat one. If you're going to be attaching to a base like a telephone pole then you'll want the one with the slight curve to the base. If you're going to attach to a flat surface then the flat design should work. Printed with ABS using 50% infill and .3 layers, 3 perimeters, 3 top and bottom layers I used one inch #10 Stainless Steel bolts - could get away with three quarters easily. I know the bolts are kind of big but it seemed to give better support to the thin sign. Also used a flat washer and a nut with a nylon insert to keep it tight. For each type of base, I have two designs - hollow and solid. If you're interested in saving some material, the hollow design seems to be working fine but I'm sure the solid one would provide additional support. Included is the original Cubify Design file for those who are interested in making some modifications.
