Inspired by the natural phenomenon of water flowing down a stream, this design replicates the eddies and vortices that water experiences as it meanders and swirls around boulders in the stream. Water's natural tendency is to do this swirling and colliding, rather than being forced to flow linearly through pipes. Pipes disrupt water's natural state by de-structuring it and stripping it of its capacity to do work - clean, float objects, hold minerals in suspension, stay clean, stay fresh, grow plants, hydrate, and more. Hence the idea behind STREAMFLOW vortex generators: to restore water flowing in pipes back to a natural state of vortex flow. Note that the natural stream flow effects produced by STREAMFLOW vortex generators begin to dissipate after 100 feet of pipe flow and lose all effect entirely at 300 feet.
