Stray Robot - PARTS for EVA foam helmet
thingiverse
I put together a stray cosplay for DragonCon 2022 and for my build, I decided to make my helmet primarily out of EVA foam. However, some of the details I 3d printed from the character model file from the game. In this file is the hex ear part and the ports that go on the back of the head and below the chin. As seen in photo, I printed TWO hex ear pieces for each side and sandwiched a piece of tulle (sheer white fabric) between. This kept the fabric in place nicely, which kept people from being able to see inside, and allowed the fan I installed in the helmet to keep it nice and breezy :) The file has the ports closed off on the inside, but I actually ended up drilling a hole in them to see if I could get a little more airflow, but I don't think it made much of a difference. It is pretty thin, so it was very easy to open up, if you need to as well. I also did not use any pattern for my helmet, so my helmet may be a different size than yours and may need some size tweaking. Best of luck fellow Stray fans! Meow! :3
