This is a silica gel bead desiccant holder that prints quickly and easily in spiralized/vase mode, ideally with double line width for added strength. The air holes are created by the upside-down half-cones. Many thanks to Angus at Maker's Muse for providing inspiration! I recommend checking out this video: http://youtu.be/HZSFoFYpBaA?t=468s The STL has a body diameter of 40 and an opening_radius of 5, resulting in a total diameter of 50mm; the height is 74. This size is designed for use with the spool container and spinner bracket I use (details available at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3128111). The opening_radius of 5 and a line width of .8 result in actual holes of closer to 2-3mm, which prevents my beads from escaping. Additionally, the holes are located on the top of each upside-down cone, allowing gravity to assist. If you modify the SCAD file to change the diameters, be sure to adjust openings_per_level and gap_between_levels to prevent the cones from overlapping - this will require a manual process. The lid() module call is currently commented out in the SCAD file, so the Customizer only renders the body. I plan to add a variable to control this feature in the future. Using OpenSCAD instead of Customizer is recommended, but Customizer can provide a feel for the design. To-Do and Bugs: * Add code to SCAD to allow Customizer to render the body or lid * Improve the lid retention system - currently relying on gravity and friction, but looking for a more secure solution
