Stratux Micro Case
thingiverse
Here's a new micro-case designed specifically for the Stratux ADS-B receiver, ideal for the NooElec micro-SDRs that have recently been released. Please note that this case is not compatible with older full-length SDRs. To use an antenna cable with the MCX male to SMA female pigtail that it supports, you'll need to have one of these specific types on hand. For those planning to operate a dual-band rig, we recommend using a Y-pigtail consisting of two MCX males joined by one SMA female for optimal connectivity. We've also taken care to provide a convenient notch for the USB cable coming from an external GPS system. One great option is the GlobalSat BU-353-S4 USB GPS receiver known as the "GPS mouse" – it requires some specific adjustments, however, since the NMEA output presents shorter string values for latitude and longitude compared to other GPS units. Keep in mind that this case will not support the RY835AI GPS/AHRS chip. More information on why we made this decision can be found here: https://www.reddit.com/r/stratux/comments/3wjdeb/new_micro_case_with_external_gps/. Let us know if there are any modifications you would like to request – adding holes for MCX male cables is one potential option, which could allow users of stock antennas to operate these receivers more efficiently.
