Neatly organizes all essential components for your dual-band Stratux ADS-B receiver. Instructions Parts === Gather all necessary parts from sources like Reddit threads Pt 1, Pt 2, and stay updated with the Stratux subreddit. Required Components: * Two 6-inch USB A male to USB A female extension cables. * Four M3 x 1/4-inch screws for mounting GPS/AHRS chip and Raspberry Pi. * Optional: One 6-inch USB A male to micro USB male cable, similar to an Android charger cable (Note: GPS/AHRS will work solely through GPIO if desired). Prints == Print each STL file. Assembled dimensions are 7.625 inches x 3.75 inches x 1.5 inches. Two shells are recommended, with infill around 15% for optimal results. Recommended Material: NYLON, which prevents the case from melting due to heat generated by components. Assembly == Snap together the parts easily. First, insert the antennas into their respective holders on the back two base grips (be gentle, as one may snap or flex). Next, route the antenna cables according to preference, ensuring both are firmly attached with wire facing towards the HDMI cutout side of the case. Now, screw down the Raspberry Pi using at least two M3 x 1/4-inch screws through their respective openings in the lower half. Attach the SDR dongles to USB extensions and plug them into the Pi. Then, carefully rotate the SDR dongles into their cradles. Attach the antennas without regard for orientation. If using GPS/AHRS, prepare it as per instructions in the Stratux subreddit. To assemble the halves, place the antennas upright into openings in the upper half and slide together carefully to avoid moving the antennas. Finally, apply power and enjoy your finished receiver.
