I replace the suction cup on the standard window mount for a Stratus ADS-B receiver with a block designed specifically for hook-and-loop (also known as Velcro) remote mounting. The original version is solid and the updated version features a routed design to print more quickly and use less material. Print Settings: Printer Brand: Robo 3D Printer Model: R1 ABS + PLA Model Rafts: No rafts were used in this print job. Supports: No supports were added during printing. Resolution: The print resolution was set to low for this project. Infill: High infill density was selected, but I reduced it to 50% due to the self-tapping mounting screws that secure the mount to the block. Notes: To ensure a secure attachment, I used high-grip Velcro hooks on the bottom of the block to grab the rug under the seat. Post-Printing: My Mounting Strategy I positioned the mount on the floor of my PA28-180 aircraft as far forward as possible, just under the pilot's seat. To secure it in place, I attached an adjustable strap across the top of the unit, hooking the outer edges of the seat rails and pulling the unit down tight. When attaching the self-tapping screws to the block, be careful not to overtighten them - simply turn until the mount is snug against the block.
