The Agitator broke on our Stratasys Wavewash 55, so we decided to take matters into our own hands and find a replacement part. However, after searching high and low, we couldn't locate the exact component needed. As a result, we took it upon ourselves to reverse engineer the broken part and modify its design slightly to suit our needs. To fix the issue, we need to order 4x Ø 3/8" x 1/4" long magnets from Digikey and insert them into the provided holes. It's essential that the polarity of the magnets switches back and forth: NSNS. Once installed, seal the holes with waterproof silicone glue to protect the nickel plating on the magnets from the chemical bath. This will ensure a seamless cleaning process for our parts. When installing the new agitator, remember that you'll need something to reduce friction between the tank and the agitator. Originally, we used a plastic sheet to achieve this, but since it broke and was expensive to replace, we opted for an alternative solution. To replicate the original design, wrap packing tape onto itself and cut it to match the shape of the original sheet. Be cautious not to apply the tape directly to the bottom of the tank, as the heat will cause the tape to expand and potentially tear off. By taking these steps, you'll be able to start cleaning parts again without any further issues.
