Hello, I designed and printed a keychain featuring the original Stratasys logo. I hope you enjoy it! You can find more information about Stratasys on this Wikipedia page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stratasys. Stratasys, Ltd. is an American company that specializes in 3D printing and production systems for office-based rapid prototyping and direct digital manufacturing solutions. Engineers use Stratasys systems to create complex geometries using a variety of thermoplastic materials such as ABS, PPSF, PC, ULTEM 9085, and Nylon 12. Stratasys produces in-office prototyping and direct digital manufacturing systems for automotive, aerospace, industrial, recreational, electronic, medical, and consumer product OEMs. I printed this model using white Ultimaker PLA with a resolution of 0.2mm and an infill of 18%. My nozzle size is 0.4mm and I used a skirt during the printing process. Design Process I started by selecting a logo from my browser, which was Stratasys, and converted it to SVG format in Inkscape (you can see a video on how I did this). Next, I opened the SVG file in Blender and created a 3D object. In MeshMixer, I repaired the file and removed some unnecessary elements. Using the 'separate files' function in MeshMixer, I rearranged the logo. Then, I modeled a keychain template in 123D Design and combined it with the Stratasys logo. After that, I exported the finished model to Netfabb Online Service to reduce its file size. I saved it as an STL file and sliced it for printing. If you're interested in learning how I turn a 2D picture into a 3D model, check out this YouTube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g6cmClwLhz8 (it's under 6 minutes long). You can also download Blender for free from this link: https://www.blender.org/download/ and Inkscape from this link: https://inkscape.org/nl/download/. Enjoy! Raimon of Idealab
