STRATASATT - FDM ONE Update 6/24/15 - 12:01 Am: It's funny how, when under pressure, small details can be overlooked. I could have easily removed 75% of the hardware by adding sections on top and bottom panels for secure snapping with the main body. This could have been done without affecting design or 3D printing process. The entry is a Cubesat challenge design. Main points include four FDM printed parts, one switch pin, optional standoff plate, couplers, and commercial nuts/bolts as assembly hardware. Supportless FDM 3D printing was utilized, with characteristics including specific center of gravity, mass, volume, and surface area. Assembly involves COTS fasteners for cost-effectiveness and ease of disassembly if necessary. The design adheres to PC/104 and ISIPOD specs, while meeting Cubesat weight and size requirements. If any crucial details are missed, they will be updated promptly.
