Strap Clamp Tensioner
prusaprinters

This is the tensioner assembly for a strap clamp. For the other corners you will need to find other designs, but they are quite common. There are several other designs available for this type of tool but I believe this design is a bit more elegant and operates very smoothly in use.

The Fusion 360 file is included for editing, but I designed this part before I was very good at using the organization structure so the model may be difficult to work with.

Print Settings

Notes:

Use whatever settings you would typically use for structural parts, the key is scaling. For all of the parts to fit well you will need to scale the parts appropriately. For me this was the following scale factors:

sleeve and 90Bracket - 102%

puller - 100%

wheel - 99.5%

It is important that the sleeve and 90Bracket are scaled the same becasue they have holes which must align.

Also, no support is needed if you orient all of the parts correctly for printing.

Post-Printing

Hardware required

M2.5 inserts - 4pce

M2.5x8mm screws - 4pce (use whatever length works)

1/2"-16x1 1/4" screw + nut - 1pce

You could use a M13 screw and nut by scaling up slightly.
Category: Hand Tools
