Strap Buckle (No Supports)
thingiverse
There are two models available, one featuring teeth and the other without. I highly recommend choosing the model with teeth to prevent slippage of the straps. Update 28SEP2018: A strap keeper has been uploaded to keep the straps securely in place. Although this redesigned model looks similar to the original, it boasts several improvements that cater to my personal preferences. The new design exhibits reduced play and self-centers when clicking its parts together. Additionally, I have made the button smaller while maintaining ease of use. The buckle is equipped with a self-tightening mechanism. As you pull it apart, the locking mechanism becomes increasingly engaged, ensuring that under load, it will not slip apart unless it suffers catastrophic failure. The engagement produces a very satisfying *click* sound when connecting the two parts together. This design can also be used as a belt buckle. Two models for each part have been uploaded, with the only variation being strap hole sizes. Most users are likely to prefer the larger size. These models were printed at 80% scale, resulting in a strap hole width of 21mm. Native size yields a strap hole width of 27mm. I encourage you to share your creations and comments.
