Two new pictures have been added and a video update has been posted showing the lamp completely done. The project was finished somewhere in 2017. I'm still waiting for a plasma ball and a power switch to complete it. It's a DIY project that requires some building experience and basic soldering skills, so you can make one too. Here are some tips: 1. Building the Case: When gluing the side plates together, use CA glue and place them on a flat surface. Apply an activator for a fast bond. 2. Bill of Materials (BOM): 6x 3mm red LEDs for the background Resistors for LED 2x USB Plasma Balls (they can be found on eBay for around €6 each) 5v PSU (phone charger) with a minimal rating of 1A 1x Power Jack 3 Pin Terminals 5.5 mm x 2.5mm DC Power 1x USB cable for power jack and PSU 5 meter (16 feet) of power cable should be enough to connect everything 1x On-Off switch 8x Magnets to hold the backdoor in place or use an alternative method Note: You can also use a cheap fiber optic kids' toy lamp. RGB LEDs can be found on eBay. Make sure to choose the Slow blinking and Double legs types, which are ready to use and only require a resistor to work. https://youtu.be/vl1GtcS2bQS
