Strain Relief

Computer cable strain relief solution is a must-have for long cables hanging from the back of computers. I'd hate to snap off a USB port inside the computer due to excessive weight. This essential item will alleviate some of the tension on cables and prevent damage. Simply slide a cable into place where it fits snugly. For extra protection, you can add a tight nylon wire tie or a secure knot above the insertion point. A variety of slot sizes are available (two of each), so you're likely to find one that suits your needs. If needed, you can double up on slots for added security. Notably, my print had tiny screw holes, which I had to drill out. To make it easier for others, I've enlarged the holes in the uploaded STL file. Regular decking screws work well for attaching this solution. Print Settings: Printer Brand: LulzBot Printer: TAZ 4 Rafts: No Supports: No Notes: I printed with 7 shells to guarantee solid teeth on my strain relief solution. My model was made from cheap, brittle natural PLA, but it's holding up well without snapping. You might want to use a slightly heavier infill to ensure durability.
