FRC team 2052 KnightKrawler uses Anderson SB50 connectors on its batteries and chargers. While the 6 gauge wire we use on the batteries is pretty robust without any strain relief, the higher gauge (smaller) wire on the charging side is more vulnerable when pulling the connectors apart. The strain relief fits over the SB50 connector and provide a place to secure the wires with zip ties. Moreover the body of the strain relief has grips on the side to aide in pulling the connectors apart. The strain relief snaps over the SB50 connector and can be optionally fastened with #6 -¾" flat head screws and nuts. It has slots for zip ties the secure each wire to the strain relief.Alternatively if you are building a pigtail with the SB50 connector, we have a slide on version of the strain relief that is secured to the connector with #6-¾ flat head screws and nuts.Print the models in the orientation they load. I used a 0.4mm nozzle with a 0.3mm layer height. The Clip on version needs supports on the build plate. I would recommend printing in PETG, especially the clip on version. Here is the link for the OnShape model.
