Straight Vertical Limit: Ninja Warrior Series

This original ninja warrior-style hold, dubbed the "Vertical Limit," was designed as an ultimate test of grip strength. With a ledge of only 1.5cm in depth, this truly tests the limits of our vertical hanging capacities. All jokes aside, this hold was inspired by the Vertical Limit obstacle on the Japanese version of American Ninja Warrior, also known as Sasuke. This model, unlike the curved design that can also be found in my collections, is closer to the real obstacle on Sasuke. It can be printed using typical PLA filament (no pesky ABS) and is strong enough to hold roughly 250 pounds with roughly 70 percent infill. When using any vertical limit, I recommend that you start out slowly. These are very hard holds, and it is often difficult to hang while holding them, let alone transition to (or away from) them. Practice is key! To assemble the hold, you will need two 3/8" x 3" eye bolts and two 3/8" hex nuts. The hex nuts can be slid into the hexagonal underside of the hold, and the eye bolts can then be screwed in. The hole is a naturally tight fit, so it may take a minute or so to screw the eye bolt in completely. Now, all you need is some rope (to be strung through the eye bolts) and a place to hang it up. Then, you'll have a fully-functional ninja warrior-style Curved Vertical Limit!
