This device features a straightforward design, affordability, and automatic operation. Functioning involves the weight exerting pressure on hooks, which causes them to lower into a locking position via splitting. When the weight is removed, springs push the hooks upwards, clearing the splitter and unlocking the mechanism; long hooks minimize stress on the member.
