Constructing a slab-polishing machine at our factory required extensive research. I explored various options available in the market, but they were all too costly. Undeterred, I decided to build my own, investing R200 000 and taking a high risk of it not functioning as desired. Eventually, replacing Festo switches with SMC components led to seamless performance.
