One of my home stove's rotational buttons was broken, so I decided to take matters into my own hands. I designed and printed a replacement button from scratch. Initially, I thought I had found several compatible replacements, but after printing one out, it became apparent that it wouldn't fit snugly onto my stove knob. Since I live in Taiwan, where the local market may not always have the exact parts I need, I took a more proactive approach to solving the problem. Before diving into printing another button, I made sure to double-check the size of the knob hole on my stove. This turned out to be crucial information, as it helped me tailor the new button's dimensions to fit perfectly. The knob hole on my stove measures 8.2 mm in diameter at its widest point and a slightly smaller 6.5 mm at the top end. I included a photo of these measurements for reference purposes.
