Stormtrooper Doll from Star Wars Rogue One
thingiverse
This is my take on Jyn's stormtrooper doll from Star Wars Rogue One. It's not 100% screen accurate, but close enough to be fun. I designed it to match the size seen in the movie. Channels run through the doll so that limbs and helmet can be attached with elastic cord and still be somewhat poseable. The helmet requires some post-processing. This piece is probably the least accurate of the bunch, but since the doll looks "home made" on screen, I think it's fine. Post-Printing I don't have a dual extrusion 3D printer, so I needed to find another way to add black details to the helmet without paint. I decided to freehand them using PLA welding (loading PLA into a Dremel and slowly drawing on the helmet). After adding the details, I strung each piece together with thin elastic cord from Walmart's craft section. One piece of cord holds the arms in place, one for the legs, and one for the helmet. You can stretch the cord as tight or loose as you like. If there's leftover cord at the ends, you can tuck it into the limbs so the joints are free of obstructions.
