The flying brick is an attractive model in its own right, but many people dislike how stout it appears to be. As I've mentioned before, from a game perspective, I can see why GW designed it that way. It's simply easier to move and transport around the board. However, two inches of personal space might not be enough for some folks. Personally, I also disagreed with the model's length and wanted a slightly longer look for my Raven. So, out came the plasticard, and a Stormraven conversion was born. From there, a 3D model naturally followed. If you'd like to give it a try using styrene, I've got a tutorial and template available on my blog. Alternatively, if you prefer to print it out, here's a 3D STL version for your convenience.
