Storm Door Wedge (For Broken Hinge)
thingiverse
I designed a small wedge to attach near a broken hinge on your storm door, helping it close smoothly. I created this solution after the bottom hinge of my storm door broke, causing it to stick open occasionally. To shut the door initially, you'd have to kick its lower corner from inside the house. But now with this wedge in place, that's no longer necessary - it adds just enough clearance for a smooth closure and rounds off the corners for a precise fit. The wedge is crafted with both sides slightly different in size, allowing you to flip it either way depending on your door rail's dimensions. Choose from a 3mm, 3.5mm, or 4mm gap between the two sides of the wedge for optimal grip. The wedge shown in the picture features a 4mm gap. A recommended size for a storm door is a 3.5mm gap. The 3mm gap has not been tested and may require a hammer to secure properly.
