The original metal one was mangled and warped. My door's piston is fully operational and I didn't want to purchase an entire new piston and hardware kit. I couldn't locate a single bracket for sale, so I fabricated my own! Time will reveal how it holds up, but for now it's working flawlessly. If you're concerned about their durability, print a few extras as insurance.
