OpenSCAD module/library simplifies design of rectangular compartment trays by utilizing ASCII art method combined with sizing parameters to generate custom compartmentalized tray. Custom tray is created via tray layout parameters and a few extra values for lid designation, securing items even when flipped upside down. Lid must be generated separately using same tray layout parameters plus additional values. Organizing items and board game components have utilized this design approach successfully. See the tray layout instructions image/attachment to learn how to create custom trays. A library version of this module is available for use with Thingiverse Customizer feature, allowing tray layout parameter to be passed as an array of strings. All other parameters remain in use but may be easier to apply in OpenSCAD for those familiar with it. Many compromises were made to facilitate integration with the Thingiverse Customizer feature, and using this library can provide a simpler experience in OpenSCAD.
