Here's my storage solution for my settler of catan main-game with interlocking tiles (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2035221). I tried to find a solution that has some flexible parts and can accommodate different variations of hex-pieces. My goal was to create a storage system that fits most of your choices. The largest pieces you'll need to print are 19.6 cm x 20.7 cm x 14.4 cm (height). Make sure your printer bed is big enough to handle these dimensions. To build the box, you'll need to print the following parts: •2 storage core units •1 storage piece holder unit •1 storage card holder unit •1 storage top unit •1 storage center unit (optional) •1 storage center top unit (optional) The placeholder parts you choose will depend on the tiles you've already printed. Check out the pictures with corresponding lists to select the right parts. The storage center part can be used for additional storage, such as parts from other scenarios and variants or for manuals. Good printing, and let me know if there are any issues. If you're wondering how the pieces go together, check out the pictures of the magnetic tile storage here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1482713 When transporting the box, make sure to grab it from the bottom, not the top. Before printing, please review the information under the printer settings section below! Print Settings: • Printer brand: Ultimaker • Printer model: Ultimaker 2 • Rafts: No • Supports: No • Resolution: 0.8 mm • Infill: 15-30% • Notes: I used a fill factor of 30% for all parts to ensure the pieces are stable enough. Important note: Make sure the outer hull is solid and not too thin. If your printer doesn't have a heated bed, you may experience bowing in your print. For my prototype, I used Bluetape on the printer bed, but it still bowed upwards. This effect usually only affects the first layers and is compensated as the print grows taller. You can see this effect on the pictures of my prototype. If you're having trouble preventing bowing, try a different method, such as 3DLAC, to keep your print stuck to the printer bed. If you still can't prevent bowing, don't worry – I designed the storage system so that it won't be affected by this issue when assembling the box.
