This screwdriver has been upgraded with a comfortable, cushioned grip that reduces fatigue and makes handling easy. It is designed to work perfectly with the magnetic shaft, often included in bit sets or cordless drill packages, giving you better control and mobility than an electric drill provides. The 3/16" cylindrical magnet allows you to keep your chuck secure in the handle or locked into place. I feel good holding it! Send a note if you have any questions or comments. Instructions The model was built using my lightly customized Makerbot Replicator 2: I ran the extruder at 245C, set the layer height to .3mm, maintained standard movement speed, printed with raft support and used 75% fill rate. Additionally, a heated bed of 45C ensured perfect results. However, there was some trouble with print separation from the raft. To fix it, I applied a coat of slurry at around four layers. Inserting a 3/16" cylinder magnet is a breeze; just center the flat side on your chuck and push it in from the opposite side. Be gentle when handling as you may need to gently work out any excess printed material for smooth sliding motion; the magnet does all the holding. To securely fasten the chuck, ensure it is snugly seated. To dislodge it, hit the recess against the back of your hand – not too hard but just firmly enough that it releases smoothly; that worked like a charm for me.
