Storage Components for Caverna and The Forgotten Folk

thingiverse

This is my storage solution for housing all components from the board game Caverna, including its expansion The Forgotten Folk, as well as a few other mini expansions, in the main Caverna game box. I adapted this solution from an existing design I came up with before owning a 3D printer and the release of the big expansion. As a result, it's a bit of a mix-and-match of parts. While I'm not sure many people will be able to replicate exactly what I've done, I hope some of the individual components might be useful. I use a Plano storage container (model 3620) to store all of my meeples, tokens, etc. The larger tiles are stored using holders made from cardstock that I designed - these may be necessary due to the tight space needed to fit those tiles. A PDF template for these holders is also included in the file list. The 3D printed components include: Three weapons trays and lids to store the level 1-14 weapons. Seven player pieces boxes (I've actually printed eight, as I have an extra color; you might want or need to do the same). A tray to store the race-specific buildings from The Forgotten Folk expansion. A tray for storing reference cards, round cards, and tokens. Additionally, there are angled trays that allow the building and smaller tiles to be stored on top of the Plano box while still allowing the lid to close: Four size 24 trays (for ruby mines/fields, cave and pasture tiles, and green buildings). One size 21 tray (for orange buildings). One size 18 tray (for yellow buildings). One size 9 tray (for building tiles from Mini and Water expansions).
