General InformationThe rugged storage case uses an insert designed specifically for a Klein multimeter (MM325), voltage tester (NCVT2P), and outlet tester (RT250).  Space is provided for 5 extra batteries, 2 extra fuses of each type, cables, and manuals in the lid.The tools were 3D scanned to create a perfect mold in the insert, with a clearance of about .5mm on all sides for a snug but sliding fit, so I can't guarantee the insert will work for any other part numbers! Print TipsSince this is meant to be a rugged case, more perimeters the better!  I used 4 perimeters and 20% infill for the bottom and lid.  The latches and insert used 3 perimeters and 15% infill.  Infill doesn't make much of difference since there's not much of it. Build InstructionsThe case uses six 3x40mm metal dowel pins for the latches and hinges.  I recommend using trigger clamps, C-clamps, or similar to slowly press in the dowel pins and do as little hammering as possible to prevent cracking.  If a crack does start to happen, immediately stop and use a healthy amount of super glue to repair it.  The glue will actually create a stronger bond than the layer adhesion from the print alone - it'll save the part and make it even stronger than before! For the lid foam, I used ~16mm thick foam that was left over from an old Pelican 1700 case.  Replacement Pelican foam can be purchased from many sources.  Then, print out the Foam Template and use a knife or foam cutter to cut to shape. For the seal, there's two options: 1) cut a raw piece of TPU to 828mm (32.6in) and simply insert in the seal channel.  I found this to make the latches very tight.  2) I recommend printing the Seal file out of TPU.  The rectangular cross section fits nicely and provides good retention for the case.  The insert should be a tight sliding fit so it doesn't come out easily, but is possible to remove if desired. Change LogV1_001: Original modelsV1_002:  Increased Hinge thickness. Slightly increased dowel hole diameter for easier installationV1_003:Increased dowel hole diameters slightly more after thorough testing from 3.05 to 3.09mm.  This may still be too tight depending on filament and printer settings, but I've found this to be a perfect interference fit that maintains a tight connection, but still not too difficult to press in for my setup. ATTRIBUTIONI'd like to give @Whity credit as I did look at their rugged box for some inspiration, however I completely modeled this box and made several changes for the needs of this project.
