AFTER LOOKING INTO PICTURES AND INFORMATION FROM THE PREVIOUSLY USED STORAGE OPTIONS IN SPACE MISSIONS, I CONCLUDED THAT THE KEY IS TO KEEP IT SIMPLE AND EASY TO ACCESS AS THE MAIN GOAL.>THE DESIGN I HAVE CHOSEN IS NOT TARGETED FOR MAXIMUM SPACE UTILISATION BUT RATHER THE MOST MINIMAL AND SIMPLE TO USE FORMAT.>I HAVE USED THE 6.0 CTBS IN THE MOST NUMBERS INORDER TO PACK SUPPLIES INTO DEFINITE COMPARTMENTS, THUS PREVENTING RANDOM MOVEMENTS OF SMALL CTBS.>AS A LUNAR MODULE OUR MAIN GOAL WOULD BE TO STUDY THE ENVIRONMENT AND PERFORM AS MANY SCIENTIFIC EXPERIMENT AS POSSIBLE AND HENCE I CREATED A MAJOR SECTION FOR SCIENCE PAYLOADS AND SMALL 1.0 CTBS WHICH WOULD STORE THE MOST IMPORTANT ITEMS IN IMMEDIATE NEED.>I HAVE REFRAINED FROM USING ALL THE CTBS OPTIONS AS CONSIDERING THEY CAN BE PACKED INTO LARGE ONES AND NOT CREATE A PILE UP.>THE SMALL SECTION IN THE LAST HEMISPHERICAL PART IS KEPT FOR TRASH COLLECTION OR ANY “BUNGEE JAILS” AS THE COULD BE FILLED WITH SOFT GOODS CTBS AND LESS PRIORITIES ITEMS.>THE CENTRAL SECTION IS KEPT OPEN FOR A SMOOTH AND EASY TRAVEL OF OPERATORS AND ACCESS OF GOODS AND HENCE A LARGE RECTANGULAR OPENING OF 120 CM X 100 CM IS USED.>THE ONLY ADDITIONAL PART USED IS A COMPACT SINGLE MOTOR BELT CONVEYOR WITH TENSION ADJUSTMENT WHICH IS ADDED FOR THE SOLE PURPOSE OF MOVEMENT OF GOODS TO THE DOCKING AREA IN A EFFORTLESS MANNER. THE DESIGN IS TO BE ROTATED BY 90° W.R.T. THE AXIAL PLANE OF THE MODULE FOR ACCESING ALL THE SUPPLIES. THE DESIGN MIGHT REQUIRE SOME TWEAKING AND ADJUSTMENT FOR THE BEST OF RESULTS, BUT IT HIGHLIGHTS THE POINT OF KEEPING THINGS SIMPLE AND THAT LESS IS MORE IN A COMPLEX SPACE LIKE ENVIRONMENT.
