I really liked the original model, but needed a smaller border and easier access to the buttons. I also had issues where the blinds would sometimes sneak up behind the stopper, and then would get stuck there.The added slot does make the curtain stand out a bit from the window, so its not really ideal if you want it to be entirely dark. But to me it was more important that the curtain is stopped reliably.
