Stopgap Face Mask (SFM) - Easy Print - Covid-19 PPE (no support)
thingiverse
I took a face mask approved by the NIH and modified it for easy printing without supports. To get started, read the instructions created by the NIH here https://3dprint.nih.gov/discover/3dpx-013429. For more information on 3D printing related to COVID-19, check out this Reddit thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/3Dprinting/comments/fke0oz/coronavirus_3d_printing_megathread/. To resize the mask, reduce it by 10%. To create a filter, use a surgical face mask and cut it to fit. One single surgical face mask can yield four filters. For elastic straps, repurpose an old sleeping mask and cut it into usable pieces. The "mask v37" is a larger design with distinct differences from the smaller version, including the nose shape and chin area. The "mask cap" remains consistent between both designs, featuring an added part for easy removal. I printed these masks using PLA filament since I didn't have access to nylon. However, it's recommended that you print them with nylon instead.
