Stop for Festool FS track
thingiverse
This is a precision-fit stop block designed specifically for use with Festool tracks. It serves to establish precise starting and stopping points for a track saw, allowing for smooth and accurate cuts. To secure the block in place, an M6x12 bolt is used in conjunction with a corresponding M6 nut that is trapped within a plastic adapter embedded in the aluminum extrusion. This ensures a tight and reliable fit. A specialized knob, created using the innovative Nut Knob Generator found on Thingiverse (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:713300), is designed to grasp the hex head of the M6 bolt. This makes it easy to both secure and release the block as needed. For added flexibility, a washer can be inserted between the knob and the block, serving as a makeshift spring. However, this feature is entirely optional. The stop block itself features a round notch that expertly catches the corner of the base of the saw, allowing for two distinct models: a start/front block and a stop/rear block. To maximize functionality, it is generally recommended to print one of each block, accompanied by two knobs and two nuts. On 2017-05-16, an updated version of the stop was added, featuring symmetrical design for the start-front model as per customer request.
