The shield, a commemorative marble plaque, sits proudly above the stairs inside the historic Aldobrandeschi Castle in Arcidosso, Grosseto, Tuscany. A dedicatory inscription, framed by a 16th-17th century design, is positioned directly below the coat of arms it accompanies. This shield, an impressive monument to the castle's rich history, was created using Reality Capture technology and 104 photographs taken on location. The Mt. Amiata Project, a collaborative effort between faculty and students from the University of Florence and the University of Siena, owes its success to the invaluable support provided by the Municipality of Arcidosso.
