Stone Sculpture - Franco Pegonzi - Floridia (SR) - 2001 FLORIDIA - VALLE DELL'ANAPO - MANHATTAN Master Franco Pegonzi created this artwork during the National Sculpture Symposium held in Floridia in 2001, along with other prominent sculptors. The sculpture was carved from a massive local limestone block, which garnered widespread acclaim. In 2016, thanks to the OPEN COESIONE project, in collaboration with the Urban Center of Floridia, the Academy of Fine Arts of Catania, and the patronage of the Municipality of Floridia, Pegonzi's sculpture underwent conservative restoration and urban relocation. The artwork is currently displayed in Piazza Umberto I, Floridia, Siracusa Province.
