Stone pipe sits in a prominent location at the Town Creek site (31Mg2-3) in Montgomery County, North Carolina, dating back to the Mississippian period between AD 1150 and 1400. Made from chlorite schist, this stone artifact measures 52.0 mm in length, 35.2 mm in width, and 44.8 mm in thickness. The stone pipe is cataloged as number 2022a359 in the North Carolina Archaeological Collection at the Research Laboratories of Archaeology, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where it has been partially reconstructed by Chris LaMack's model.
