Stone gorget Discovered at Warren Wilson site (31Bn29) in Buncombe County, North Carolina. Dating back to the Woodland period and specifically the Swannanoa phase, which spans from 1000-300 BC. Crafted from metamorphic rock. Measuring 105.4 mm in length, 50.3 mm in width, and 13.0 mm in thickness. Cataloged as no. 2094a85 within the North Carolina Archaeological Collection, housed at Research Laboratories of Archaeology, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Designed by Abigail Gancz.
