Human: Ancient relic of intricately crafted sandstone vessel discovered, its purpose shrouded in mystery. Estimated to have been created between 500BC and 500AD. Currently housed at the Timespan Museum, this enigmatic artifact is part of a meticulously reconstructed Iron Age Kildonan scene. A joint effort between Open Virtual Worlds, a research team within the University of St Andrews' School of Computer Science, and the Timespan Museum brought this project to life. Under the expert guidance of Catherine Cassidy and Iain Oliver, who handled the 3D digitization process, and with archaeological insight provided by Jacquie Aitken, the team successfully captured the essence of this ancient relic. Funding for this ambitious endeavor was generously provided by the EU Northern Periphery and Arctic Programme's "Connected Culture and Natural Heritage in a Northern Environment" (CINE) project, operational from 2014 to 2020.
