This ancient stone-made bridge was built in the late 19th or early 20th century, showcasing traditional architecture crafted by renowned Langadian stonemasons. As part of a vital national road leading to Ancient Olympia, which was constructed between 1896-97, this bridge stands proudly at the east entrance of Langadia, Peloponnese, Greece. Its narrow span has always made it difficult for two cars to pass simultaneously, prompting calls for widening the road over time. Alas, no efforts were made to preserve its original design, and by late summer 2017, the bridge began to be enveloped in cement and new infrastructure on both sides.
