This 3D model was originally designed with Sketchup 13 and then successfully converted to various other formats. Native format is .skp 3ds Max scene is 3ds Max 2016 version, rendered with Vray 3.00 This model has its roots in a card model that I have had since 1987. It was published by Schreiber-Bogen in Germany. That's what makes it quite remarkable that it took me nearly 25 years to create this model! Actually, this is two models; the basic one shown above, and the more detailed version available via the link below. This small castle is part of a larger collection of models, designed to accurately replicate real-world dimensions with precision - specifically a scale of 1 inch = 16 feet in measurement terms (actual scale: 1:150). Every single angle is perfectly recreated as well. The ground floor boasts two spacious rooms within the main building and garage areas, while the entry tower has a dedicated storage space. (Look for more towers and staircases!) Moving up to the first level, you'll find an elegantly designed Ell-shaped room where the livingroom takes one leg and the kitchen/dining combination occupies the other leg. The third level consists of three spacious bedrooms, two full bathrooms, and a laundry area for convenience. Both larger and smaller towers within the entry tower offer multiple levels to explore, featuring spiral stairs in the larger one and an elevator in the smaller one. As expected from an old castle design, this building's exterior features chipped-off stucco that reveals stone beneath it, indicating years of use. Enhanced model versions boast more interior details such as complete bathrooms, kitchens, 'stuff,' including a cleverly placed hole under the bay area to drop 'something' - yes, even boiling oil for unwanted guests! I would like to express gratitude to DE for generously donating doors and doorframes to both versions, along with that elusive secret staircase, found in all.
